Elena Dotta nace en Bologna, Italia en 1959. Emigra con su familia a Buenos Aires, donde reside actualmente. Con fuerte inclinación artística, desde chica concurre a talleres de pintura con Janine Meyer y de cerámica con Lidia Rhode. Posteriormente, egresa de la Escuela de Bellas Artes Prilidiano Pueyrredón como Profesora Nacional de Pintura. Ejerce la docencia, y paralelamente continúa investigando técnicas pictóricas en la Escuela Superior E.de La Cárcova : pintura mural - técnica del fresco con P. Cárdenas, H. Buffidis y José Ferrari, y de perfeccionamiento en pintura con los maestros Guillermo Roux, Carlos Gorriarena y Tulio de Sagastizabal, y técnicas escenográficas en el Instituto Superior de Arte del Teatro Colón. Desde 2005, habiendo descubierto la litografía en el Centro de Formación y Edición Gráfica de Buenos Aires con Natalia Giacchetta, continúa trabajando y explorando las distintas técnicas gráficas.
Elena Dotta was born in Bologna, Italy, in 1959. Emigrates with her parents to Buenos Aires, where she lives. Artistically inclined since childhood, she attends Janine Meyer´s art studio, and Lidia Rhode´s ceramic workshop. After High School she graduates as a Painting teacher at the Fine Arts School Prilidiano Pueyrredón and teaches Art. She continues to investigate painting techniques at the E. de La Cárcova Superior School of Art, learning "fresco" painting with Ponciano Cárdenas, H.Biffidis and mural painting with José Ferrari; attends painting courses with Guillermo Roux, Tulio de Sagastizabal and Carlos Gorriarena. She then investigates Stage disign techniques at the Superior Art Institute of the Colón Theatre. Since 2005 having discovered lithography at Natalia Giacchetta´s Lithographic Formation &Edition Center, she continues to work and explore various graphic techniques.
